From curing diseases to curing pork belly; running marathons to running start-ups, Seattle is filled with thousands of dads that make being cool look easy. Just in time for Father’s Day, read on for our list of some of Seattle’s best known and under-the-radar dads that rock (without trying too hard).

Chris Rossman

As director of a middle school community learning center for the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Chris Rossman leads a team that provides youth programing, like basketball games, leadership clubs and homework groups for students during and after school. He says one of the best parts of the job is when former students share that his program made their lives better. A Wallingford resident, Rossman and his wife Jovon have two sons, nine-year-old Caron and four-year-old Chais. Outside of work, he’s into biking, swimming and training for 5K runs with Caron. Rossman’s parenting advice? “Your kids only grow up one time,” he says, “so make an effort to be there as much as possible for the journey.“

Seattle is brimming with cool dads. Who else should we add to our list?
