From curing diseases to curing pork belly; running marathons to running start-ups, Seattle is filled with thousands of dads that make being cool look easy. Just in time for Father’s Day, read on for our list of some of Seattle’s best known and under-the-radar dads that rock (without trying too hard).

Seif Chirchi

Alongside his wife, the lauded local chef Rachel Yang, Seif Chirchi has opened some of Seattle’s favorite date night spots, including Joule (in its original location) in 2007, the insanely delicious Revel in 2010, and the sparkly new Joule on Stone Way earlier this year. A graduate of the Portland-based Western Culinary Institute, Chirchi has logged hours inside kitchens in Chicago and Manhattan. He also appeared on the small screen, beating out Iron Chef Jose Garces on Iron Chef America. Balancing work hours with Yang, the Crown Hill resident’s three-year-old Pike and one-year-old Rye spend time hanging out at their parent’s eateries. “We keep our kids part of our work, Chirchi says. “They come to the restaurants all the time.”

Seattle is brimming with cool dads. Who else should we add to our list?
