Another “otterly” awesome find for families is the Odd Otter Brewing Taproom, located in the SchuPac district downtown. Just a few blocks off the main museum strip, this veteran/LGBT-owned business is an all ages tasting room until 8 p.m. every day. It’s a quintessential neighborhood bar, small and intimate, where families gather to play board games while the ‘rents imbibe indoors on a rainy day, or soak up the vitamin D on one of the picnic benches outside when it’s sunny. You won’t find food here, but you can order in noshables from nearby noteworthy establishments like The Forum or Matador, or just pack your own family feast. And we love their smattering of family friendly special events, like the recent Kiddo Karaoke hosted by the Easter Bunny. Their popular Yoga + Beer, happening Saturdays at 10 a.m. is another fave. You otter give them a try!
Perfect pour: Give the Ottermelon Hefeweizen a try if you’re looking for a sure bet.
