We know these long lazy days of summer won’t be here forever, so make the most of them and head to one of Seattle’s best parks for picnicking and enjoy an evening where “doing the dishes” merely involves recycling your takeout containers. Check out our favorite spots to pick up delicious grub for your picnic basket.

Picnic

For A Foodie-Friendly Picnic: Picnic (Phinney Ridge)

Run by a restaurateur and a chef, this modern, high-end deli and specialty food store will undoubtedly have something perfect for your picnic. The knowledgably staff will help you chose amongst their many, many wines, cheeses and meats to help you create the perfect combo. Picnic also carries the famous La Quercia prosciutto, as well as the local favorite, Salumi charcuterie, so this is a great choice if you can’t get downtown (or don’t want to wait in line). If you want a little less fuss, grab a salad and sandwiches to go (brie, arugula and prosciutto perhaps?) and some homemade mac n’ cheese for the kiddos!
