The summer reading programs may have ended, but that’s no excuse to stop visiting your local library! Get ready to dive back into books with your kids. The whole family can curl up and enjoy story time together for free at these San Diego libraries. Kids don’t have to be school-age to enjoy reading, either. Click through the slideshow to check out these spots that have a variety of programs for kids of all ages, infant to teen!

Lemon Grove Public Library

Even if your kids are too young for school, the Lemon Grove Public Library has plenty of reading programs and storytimes that will help to engage kids in reading and learning before school starts.

For infants: Baby Storytime is held every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Babies and their parents can enjoy stories, songs and nursery rhymes together while learning and socializing.

For ages 1-3: Every Wednesday at 10 a.m., parents and their toddlers can enjoy Toddler Storytime at the library. Kids can listen to their favorite stories and songs, and learn new ones together.

For ages 3-5: Preschool Storytime is geared for kids who haven’t yet started kindergarten but are still interested in learning and enjoying books. Kids can listen to stories, make a craft, and socialize together. Preschool Storytime is held every Thursday at 10 a.m.
