Do you often feel like you’re living in your own 3-ring circus with kids and animals running in circles? We bet you can use a break from the carnival acts of your kids and the real-life clowns in your life. How about breaking away from your own Big Top and heading to a show you don’t have to master.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents DRAGONS is coming to San Diego and Orange County. The show honors the Year of the Dragon and features all the components of a traditional old-fashioned circus. The show culminates with a spectacular finale that can only come from The Greatest Show on Earth.

Fun Features

There is something for every kid at the circus! If your rugrat likes animals, she will love the Asian elephants, tigers and lions perform amazing feats. Dog and cat lovers will enjoy entertainment from the feline and canine performers.

Young Kung Fu masters will enjoy the Shaloin Warriors who come from the Far East, and young daredevils will be left speechless after seeing the Dragon Riders that ride motorcycles in a 16-foot globe.

There’s plenty of flying trapeze artists, the Hair-Hanging Wonders of the West, plenty of clowns, an engaging ringmaster, and even a dragon.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents DRAGONS show is considered family entertainment, which means it’s not scary for the little ones and costumes are appropriate for kids to see.

Tips for Families

Ready for the show? Here are a few family-friendly tips to make the most of your Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey experience.

1. Be sure to arrive 90 minutes before the show starts to take advantage of the pre-show entertainment. Activities include the Animal Open House where kids can get up-close and personal with the circus animals, and the interactive All Access Pre-Show with clowns, juggling, balancing, and see performers before the show starts. These pre-show activities are FREE to every ticket holder.

2. San Diego opening night tickets are available for $10 each so you don’t have to break the bank! Remaining tickets range from only $17 – $85. Each city has matinee performances so you don’t have to disrupt the bedtime routine.

3. Eat lunch or dinner ahead of time so you can take advantage of the circus fare: boxed popcorn, cotton candy (with a circus hat), lemonade, and snow cones.

4. There is only a 15-minute intermission. So plan accordingly when buying your snacks and circus swag as you won’t want to miss any of the show.
