Target’s Got the Joy in Their New Holiday Campaign

Halloween may have just come and gone, but it’s already time to start celebrating the winter holidays. Yes, winter is right around the corner. So hang your tinsel, get the menorah out of storage and get ready for some serious gift-giving. Amidst all of the tree buying, toy shopping and planning for that week or so the kiddos have off of school, you’re probably also starting to notice a sudden upswing in holiday spots on TV and online. Well, Target is one of the retailers who is already decking the halls. And here’s the scoop on their joyful new campaign.

It may only be the beginning of November, but Target has just unveiled their 2017 holiday campaign. This year’s theme is “Together’s the Joy.” And it means pretty much what you think it does — making the holidays unforgettable by celebrating with your loved ones. In other words, getting into the joyfulness of spending time together.

Target’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Rick Gomez, says (of the campaign), “Target’s at our best when we’re focused on what means the most to our guests. During the holidays, it’s joyful moments with those who matter most.”

The spots, which started airing in the beginning of November, focus on two children and their dog Bullseye. The trio find the perfect house and need to get it ready for the holidays, with help from their friends (both toys and humans).

Target’s holiday home renovation theme is in part inspired by Chip and Joanna Gaines, and of course, their new line.
