That kiddie pool in your backyard is nice for cooling your feet but this summer it’s time to up the water-play game, big time. The US has no shortage of amazing water parks—from just-opened volcano-themed to revamped old classics—but we’ve picked out favorites from among the many. Water Country USA—Williamsburg, Va

With a name like Water Country USA, it’s bound to make the list, but what we love about this place is not just the rides and slides (including the Colossal Curl and Big Daddy Falls). It’s one of the few water parks in the country that also offers swimming lessons! In fact this June they’re trying to break a world record for the largest group swim lesson. The lesson range from preschool to level 5 and meet American Red Cross standards. We love the wide variety of spots for tots too, but we guarantee there’s plenty of opportunity for your aquatic-superstars to show off their new skills.
