You want everything that comes in contact with your baby to be the safest and healthiest, but there aren’t a lot of options when it comes to feeding fresh, organic baby food without making it yourself at home. However, a new company that just launched is about to change everything and make it easier than ever for parents across the country.

Little Spoon was born out of co-founder and mom, Michelle Muller’s want to feed her baby healthy food that met nutritional needs. As a parent, she was surprised that options on the market were so lacking. “The first two years of life are the most critical in establishing nutrition for your child,” explained co-founder Lisa Barnett. Little Spoon enlisted pediatric nutritionists to help create their signature BabyBlends that are all 100% organic, plant-based foods and focused around the nutrients that babies need. Unlike the baby food you might find in a grocery store, Little Spoon’s offerings are all completely fresh and, with their newly launched service, the food is delivered straight to your door.

While testing out their products, Little Spoon also looked for feedback from parents on what they found to be challenging about feeding their babies. They received a lot of questions from parents, but as Barnett explained, they all boiled down to, “how do I know what to order?” and that’s how Blueprint came into play. The digital platform is a tool that parents can use to help customize a baby’s meal plan. Taking into account everything from height and weight, to developmental stages and food intolerances, Blueprint uses the data collected to put together a continually evolving personalized meal plan as babies grow.

Little Spoon currently offers 25 different food recipes, but they are constantly adding new specialties. They have three different plans that grow in quantity, because a 6-month-old doesn’t eat the same amount as a 12-month-old. The food is fresh and packaged in a re-closable, easy to take a long container, and possibly the best part is that once it’s opened, it has a shelf life of up to two weeks, which means no more shedding tears over wasted food.
