All Winnie the Pooh fans know the story of how Tigger got his bounce backs and how Eyeore found his tail, but do you know how Christopher Robin and his friends in the 100 Acre Woods came to exist in the first place? A brand new movie about author A. A. Milne tells the tale, but be prepared with tissues when you watch the emotional trailer below.

Goodbye Christopher Robin is the true story of how author A. A. Milne created the beloved characters of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and the whole gang based on his son, Christopher Robin’s stuffed animals. The story is set during the first World War, and though it involves some tragedy, it looks like it’s ultimately an uplifting story, like the classic books themselves.

The film stars Harry Potter’s Domhnall Gleeson and Suicide Squad’s Margot Robbie. It hits theaters this fall on October 13.
