Anything that can make the morning rush a little easier is greatly appreciated. So if brushing your teeth for three minutes twice a day is just too much of a commitment, you’ll want to check out this Kickstarter project that aims to change everything we know about the toothbrush.Instead of the rod-shaped brush like we’ve known for basically as long as we’ve had teeth, the patent-pending “Amabrush” uses a retainer-shaped contraption that you stick into your mouth to get all of your teeth clean at the same time. Just push a button and wait for its army of vibrating bristles to scrub your teeth for you. Because, you know, those three minutes are minutes you could be using to do other things (at least, that’s what Amabrush makers are hoping). The gadget was developed by Austrian entrepreneur Marvin Musialek and a team of engineers. “The Amabrush was designed to make the teeth-brushing experience more efficient,” says the Kickstarter promotional video. “Even those nights when you’re exhausted from work, it’ll be easier than ever to brush quickly so you can continue to take care of your teeth.”No need to worry about toothpaste; that’s delivered directly through the mouthpiece and comes in futuristic little pods that can be replaced monthly. And while some may call it silly, a lot of people can’t wait to get their mouths on the thing: at last check, the project had already raised $681,859 in funding — far more than the initial funding goal of $57,007.The brushes are slated for a full release by the end of the year.
