This Viral Post of Mom Helping Another Mom Finish Her Target Run Is the Best

Every mom has been there, that moment when your toddler decides to have a full blown meltdown in the middle of a store and you immediately hatch your escape plan for the quickest route out of there. As a viral post about a mom being helped by another mom at Target shows, one mom found herself in that exact predicament, but instead of fleeing, she got some much-needed help from a complete stranger.

Mom of two Rebecca Paterson was making her first visit to Target with both kids. Her second son, Aiden is just two months old and her older son, Jacob is two years old, the perfect ages for those mid-store meltdowns. And that’s exactly what they did. At the same time. As the perfect storm of tantrums ensued, Paterson started putting items back on the shelves, preparing to leave the store as quickly as possible. That’s when Tiffany Jones-Guillory came to her rescue.

As Paterson explained in a post to a private Facebook group for moms in Pearland, Texas, Jones-Guillory carried Jacob through the store, walking alongside Paterson so that she could finish her shopping instead of leaving empty-handed. “She saved me today, moms!!! I am so sleep-deprived and was running on empty. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way,” Paterson wrote. The post was shared and immediately went viral thanks to Jones-Guillory’s amazing act.

Jones-Guillory is a mom herself so she understood the challenge Paterson was facing. “I was just trying to do something nice from mom to mom, because I’ve been in that situation before,” she told the Houston Chronicle. “I heard how frustrated she was, and I wanted to be her guardian angel on that day. I’m just hoping and praying that more people can be inspired by this story to do the same thing.”
