With the new program, you can shop and pay for your items through the Amazon app and then pick them up immediately at your local Amazon Locker location, absolutely no waiting. All you have to do is scan a barcode on your app to open the locker and retrieve your purchase. The service is available for all Amazon customers, however, Prime members are the only ones who can use it for free. There are, of course, a few strings attached. At the moment the program is only available at a few select college campus Locker locations, including Berkeley, UCLA, College Park in Maryland, Tech Square in Atlanta and Columbus in Ohio. The items available through the service are currently targeted to college students, like food, school supplies and small electronics, like headphones and phone chargers. According to Amazon, the service will be available at more locations in the coming months. Here’s hoping Amazon will discover the wasted opportunity and add diapers and baby wipes to that stock.Besides getting items fast, the other benefit of the service is that you don’t have to worry about being home in order to accept deliveries.Have you tried the new Amazon Instant Pick Up?
