This Mic’d Snowboarding 4-Year-Old Is Your New Life Coach

Parents Robert and Samantha live an adventurous life with their two kids, Aubrin Sage and Torin Cade. Committed to activities that span the four seasons, the fam has spent the last several years sharing their time on the slopes, trails and campsites on their Instagram, Chasing Sage.

While any viewer will be mesmerized by the stunning backdrops their adventures entail, we’ve recently been taken captive by the couple’s four-year-old daughter and her motivational chats down the slopes. Dad Robert recently mic’d up the #powdersaurus and well, we’ll let you pick out your fave piece of advice:

First, let’s all agree that the four-year-old is a better snowboarder than most of us. Second, we’re starting to believe her motivational speeches like “I won’t fall, maybe I will, that’s ok, we all fall” are actually the key to shredding the slopes!

Robert shares, “When Samantha and I started our family we were interested in challenging the assumption that an adventurous life ends when you have kids. This wasn’t because we didn’t feel like giving up activities, it is because we want to share these experiences with them. Kids are capable and deserving of the life long lessons that come with these adventures and activities. We want to provide them with a broad foundation of skills and positive memories so that they can navigate the world with confidence and compassion and most importantly be kind and happy humans.”

Somehow dad was able to keep rather quiet to let us glean the words of wisdom from the “stuckasaurus” and we’re so glad he did. In a recent post, Robert shares that this won’t be the end of the “Sage” words of wisdom.

“And Yes, we’ll use the mic again both in winter and summer because I love the perspective it adds but we also are not going to rush into trying to [re]create a bunch of similar videos nor have our daughter continuously mic’d up.”

We’re more than ready to see what the four-year-old dishes up for spring and summer!
