It may be located in Los Angeles, but one of the most awesome planetariums in the world offers stargazing of a different kind. Boasting a spectacular Zeiss star projector, digital projection system, live storyteller, 290 comfy seats, state-of-the-art aluminum dome, sound system and theatrical lighting, guests will have a space-tastic experience in one of the three live shows offered daily: Centered in the Universe, Water is Life, and Light of the Valkyries. Night time visits to the Planetarium (located inside Griffith Observatory) should include peeking into the free telescopes available for use, and any time of day is perfect to take in the jaw-dropping views of the Los Angeles Basin.
Insider Tip: Kiddos ages 5 & under are only allowed to view the first show of the day: 12:45 p.m. on weekdays, 10:45 a.m. on weekends.
