Costway Baby Strollers Recalled Due to Failure to Meet Safety Standards

Costway has recalled three double stroller styles because they violate the Federal Standard for Carriages and Strollers. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall affects about 16,000 strollers and also poses fall, entrapment and strangulation hazards.

The strollers are being recalled because it has been found that a child’s body can fit in the opening between the activity tray and the seat bottom, where their head can become entrapped. Additionally, the strollers also pose a fall hazard because the crotch restraint creates too large of an opening between the seat bottom and the restraint itself.

All consumers should immediately cease using the strollers and contact Costway for details on refunds. The company can be reached at 844-242-1885 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or by email at recall@costway.com.
