10 Art Projects That Feature Fall Foliage

Fall is in the air. And you know what that means. It’s time to head outside with a baggie. Huh? Yep. That’s right—it’s leaf-collecting season. With the yellows, reds, and oranges all around, Mother Nature is providing your little artist with inspiration by just being outside. So, start gathering up those leaves and get crafting. We’ve got the most awesome autumn art activities for your kiddo: Paint, print, cut, color and so much more! Peep at them all below.

Perfect Prints

Even though you’ve got an overabundance of beautifully-hued fall leaves, some of them are…um, not some stellar. Your child just brought in an entire bag of mottled, kind of drab looking leaves. Before you toss them back outside into the pile you’ve raked up, stop and use them as mini printing plates. With a little tempera and some pressure from your child’s hand, she can press painted leaf prints onto construction paper, craft felt, foam or cardboard!
