It’s full steam ahead! A Day Out With Thomas: The Steam Team Tour 2019 is ready to hit the rails and we’ve got the scoop on this magical event. Read on for all the fun deets.
The activity and adventure-rich event is celebrating 24 years of steam-powered fun. Kiddos of all ages can meet their fave blue engine—along with some of Thomas’s other pals from the Island of Sodor.
The Steam Team Tour 2019 begins this March and heads first to Miami, Florida. In all, the tour will make its way to 37 stops across the United States and Canada (with 33 in the United States alone), giving even the biggest of the littlest Thomas fans plenty of opportunities to spend the day packed with train-filled fun.
The 2019 tour activities include a 25-minute ride with a talking Thomas the Tank Engine, a meet-and-greet with none other than Sir Topham Hatt himself, toy play, photo opps and so much more! New this year, kids who visit select locations will also get the chance to talk to a real engineer at the “Ask the Engineer” booth.
Also new for 2019, Day Out With Thomas events in select cities will include a school supply donation option in celebration of the collaboration between Mattel and the United Nations to introduce Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to preschoolers through the Thomas & Friends series. Thomas will hand—or wheel, as it were—deliver the supplies to schools in need. If you donate at these events, your child will get to take home a “Thomas & Friends Global Citizen Badge” for their donation.
