23 Quaint Towns Worth Traveling to This Winter

You don’t have to go big to keep your little snow bunnies entertained this winter. In fact, these tiny towns are proving just how much adventure one family can fit into a small space, with everything from sleigh rides and sledding to skijoring and sightseeing, and even a few that don’t include snowy goodness (hello, beaches and sunshine). Flip through to find your next pint-sized winter destination!

Cape May, New Jersey (Appx. Population 3,500)

A summer time hot spot for its picturesque and relatively quiet beaches, Cap May is a jackpot of a small town for winter wandering. The town gets all gussied up in Victorian-style lights, and you’ll want to make time to take kids to the West Cape May Christmas Parade on Dec. 2. If you miss the holiday festivities, bundle up and hit the beach where your little bird watchers can meet new feathered friends (FYI, Cape May is a fave of hobby birders year-round).
