Every parent knows the struggle of bedtime, especially if you’re reading the same book over and over. Now your routine has a new look that any 80’s mom or dad can get on board with: The Golden Girls: Goodnight, Girls.
Dorothy, Blanche and Rose are having a sleepover and are nowhere near ready to settle down to go to sleep (sound familiar?). Ma is trying everything to get them to wind down, but the gals have a lot to do before hitting the hay!
Young readers might not get all the fun Easter eggs (like St. Olaf!) and show references hidden among the colorful illustrations, but parents will. The gang sings, dances, tries on dress-up clothes, has some cheesecake, says goodnight to Miles and Stan and then hears a Sicily story from Ma before finally going to bed. We really hope it starts with “Let me tell you a story. Picture it, Sicily…”
You can already pre-order the book, The Golden Girls: Goodnight, Girls which releases this June for just $8.
