That hair is the stuff of legends
John Stamos, like many parents, is having a hard time watching his son grow up and start school. He shared a sweet pic of the two on son, Billy’s, first day, and while we adore the bittersweet sentiment, it’s hard not to see something else in the photo—his epic hair.
“One of us is starting his first day at school. And the other is doing everything in his power not to cry,” Stamos wrote on Instagram. Four-year-old Billy and his perfect mop stood next to his dad with a leaf in his hand and a crisp white shirt on, just like his twin. His tiny green backpack sits in the background but it was the hair that captured everyone’s attention.
People were quick to love the photo, saying, “Both of you have incredible hair,” “And someone inherited the good hair!!,” and “Who is born with great hair? THAT kid!! Have. Mercy.”
Stamos, who shares Billy with wife Caitlin McHugh Stamos, often shares pictures of Billy and their adorable family. Earlier this week, the three looked to be having a ball at the Spider-Man-themed “Glow Webs Glow” experience at the Santa Monica Pier.
“Wonderful day at “Glow Webs Glow” event celebrating Season 2 of #SpideyandhisAmazingFriends,” Stamos captioned the shots on Instagram. “I have the honor of playing one of his friends, Iron Man.”
Earlier this year, Stamos opened up about his journey to fatherhood. “I’m very grateful to the gods or to the universe or whatever that I’m an older father. I couldn’t have handled it earlier,” Stamos told TODAY Parents. “I’ve wanted kids my whole life. I figured, ‘I can’t wait to be a father, I’ve been a TV father,’ but it’s a whole different ballgame. It’s the greatest blessing of my life. I couldn’t imagine my life without him, but it is challenging to do it right.”
“It just takes so much to be a good parent,” he continued. “It’s about sacrifice, it’s an enormous amount of love, an enormous amount of patience, common sense, teaching them values and what’s right and wrong… and everything’s expensive.”
