This Epic New LEGO Star Wars Set Celebrates a Match Made in Brick Heaven

It’s been 20 years since the perfect union of LEGO and Star Wars came together—and it’s time to celebrate with an epic new Star Wars LEGO set unlike any you’ve ever seen.

In honor of the special occasion, LEGO has unveiled a stunning new Star Wars set, the LEGO Star Wars Tantive IV. The new set, which replicates the Rebel cruiser’s signature details, including an elongated hull, detachable escape pods, elevating gun turrets, cargo hold and 11 massive engines, clocks in at over 1,750 pieces.

The vehicle’s hull plating is removable to reveal a detailed cockpit, conference area with table, weapon rack and a control console with two seats.

The set features five minifigures including Princess Leia, Bail Organa, Captain Antilles, C-3PO and a Rebel Fleet Trooper, as well as an R2-D2 droid LEGO figure.

The new LEGO Star Wars Tantive IV will be available in stores and online on May 3 for $199.99.

Earlier this week, LEGO released five commemorative editions of the original Star Wars-themed sets it first debuted in 1999. The LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary sets include Anakin’s Podracer, Imperial Dropship, Clone Scout Walker, Snow Speeder and Bobba Fett’s own Slave I starship. The sets are available in stores and online now starting at $24.99.
