Lin-Manuel Miranda’s ‘Cure’ for ‘Encanto-Obsessed’ Kids Is Hilarious

If there’s one thing we can’t stop talking about, it’s Bruno. Despite Encanto‘s direction to not talk about him, the catchy song has wormed its way into our hearts and our ears.

On a recent appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, Lin-Manuel reflects on his surprise that “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is the hit taking the world by storm. “Group numbers never are the hit. The group number is the thing theatre kids like, but no one else likes, because they get to sing it at their cast party. And now we have this group karaoke number.”

Much to the dismay of parents across the globe, no one can get enough of any of the Encanto songs––but now there’s a solution. Say hello to Encantix.

“Head of Research at Bruno Pharmaceuticals,” Miranda shares about the new and “only prescription medication to curb your craving for the Encanto soundtrack,” Encantix. From the makers of Frozac comes the first of its kind pill that doesn’t go in your mouth!

Just insert one in each ear and take a break from the “sonic delights of National Treasure Lin-Manuel Miranda.”

Don’t miss the special warning that “Encantix is not intended for use to curb Hamilton, Moana or any other Disney musical,” and be sure to give your doctor a call if you keep talking about Bruno for more than four hours.

While the commercial is most definitely a spoof, there’s a reason we can’t get the colorful musical out of our heads! Encanto is making major waves in the film industry, already taking home a BAFTA award, Art Director’s Guild award, a Golden Globe, Hollywoods Critics Association award for Stephanie Beatriz, an NAACP Image award and several more.

There’s sure to be more to come, with the film already being nominated for several Academy Awards, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Satellite Awards and a Producers Guild of America Award.

One things for certain, there will be plenty of talk about Bruno until award season is over.
