Avoid Major Parent Fail: Book These Sleepovers Now!

If you’re lucky enough to have crossed the American Museum of National History’s “Night at the Museum” sleepover off your list, congrats. (If not, add it to the family “bucket list.”) Either way, that’s hardly the only sleepover in town. You and the kids can sleep like royalty in a cathedral, a sailor on an aircraft carrier, a scientist in not one, but two museums, and more. Just note the dates and book soon — these affairs sell out fast! Click through to find the overnight for you!

To Sleep Like a King or Queen: Knightwatch Medieval

If your child is captivated by the idea of knights, royalty and castles and all their trappings, then Knightwatch Medieval at St. John the Divine is the sleepover for them. The overnight for kids ages 6-12 combines education, fun and fantasy within the candlelit space of the the world's largest Gothic cathedral. Participants engage in a scavenger hunt, learn period dances, make clay gargoyles and even learn some swordplay (using foam "sabers".) Dress-up encouraged!
