Be Our Guest! Kid-Friendly NYC Hotels

Unless you work in Times Square, it can be easy to forget that NYC is a major family tourist destination. The city’s hotels, however, do not, and that’s good news for both resident and visiting clans. Whether you’re planning a staycation, researching a fantasy birthday experience or want some out of town kids to get the white glove treatment, these spots go out of their way to offer over-the-top amenities and other goodies for junior guests. Click through to see NYC’s most kid-friendly hotels!

For a Rooftop pool with unreal views and camping above Central Park

The 1hotel group wants visitors young and old to feel a part of the neighborhood where they're staying. At the Central Park location, kids can tap right into the hotel’s Seedlings Program, which offers, upon request, camping out accessories (a sleeping bag and lantern for your kids to camp out in the window nook of their rooms), in-room games and binoculars for stargazing or bird-watching in Central Park. Follow all your adventures with dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Jams by Jonathan Waxman, and your kids will ooh and ahh over the Jams chicken and Jams burger.

Over in Brooklyn, the rooftop pool may not be Olympic-size but we defy any New Yorker to offer a better view of everything from the Statue of Liberty on up to the Brooklyn Bridge—and points beyond. (P.S.: The word is that the pool is open to the public — call the hotel for more info). The poolside dining options are also super kid-friendly, from a perfectly cooked frank with all the toppings to burgers to decadent lobster rolls for mom and dad.
