Nick Jonas shared his extremely relatable struggle to fold up his daughter’s ball pit and get it back in the bag it came in
Our kids’ ball pits are the fitted sheets of a new generation. Despite coming with handy carrying and storage bags, those things are damn near impossible to fold correctly—as demonstrated by Nick Jonas in a hilariously relatable new Instagram video.
In the video, Jonas shows off his 14-month-old daughter’s ball pit and explains that it’s time to put it away.
“Okay, so, um, I am trying to figure out how to get this, which is a ball pit, my daughter plays in… to fold up and fit… in this bag,” he says, holding up the bag, which does look hilariously, impossibly small next to the unfolded ball pit. “Here we go.”
The video of Jonas’s struggle is sped up and set to his band’s song “Waffle House,” which is extremely fitting. At one point, a visibly frustrated Jonas stops attempting to fold and looks at his phone for a bit, while a voice-over explains, “Not me Googling how to fold up a ball pit.”
The Googling works, though. Moments later, Jonas has the pit folded down to a fraction of its original size. As he squeezes it into the bag, his moment of triumph is so near… and then he breaks the zipper. It do be like that sometimes.
The comments on the video quickly filled up with other parents who found this kind of content deeply relatable.
“I’ll never get over Nick being a dad now. Love this, so relatable!!! 😂” one wrote. Another commented, “It never fits in the bag or box it came in. Never.” No lie detected.
Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, welcomed their daughter, Malti, in January 2022. It looks like this JoBro has settled right into fatherhood, and if he could just do a quick fitted sheet folding tutorial next, that would be great.
