"We especially love to head to the coast in the fall, when the tourist season is winding down. The quaint town of Manzanita is one of our favorite destinations. They have a great farmers market, a few fun pubs and coffee shops, and miles of sand to explore. While the little one can't usually keep his peepers open long enough, for us, there's nothing better than a campfire by the ocean and all those stars. Although the weather isn't always as warm there as it is in the city, sometimes that can be a good thing when the occasional hot spell lingers into September.
In addition to contributing to Red Tricycle, I've found myself in wonderful and strange places as I ply my trade, including the top of a rodeo bull, behind the wheel of a 34-foot biodiesel-powered motorhome, and pulling the trigger of a $15,000 shotgun on a sporting clays range.
