Spook-tacular Style: What Our Readers Are Wearing for Halloween

Here at Red Tricycle, it’s not about the candy. Nope, it’s the wigs, sequins, and face paint that really get us going on Halloween. Every year we are wowed by all the jaw-dropping homemade costumes out there; many are made by Red Tricycle readers! We’ve collected our favorite ideas below—flip through the slideshow below for some spook-tacular inspiration.

We want to hear from you! Show us an amazing ensemble you put together — just send a photo to our National Editor (gabby@tinybeans.go-vip.net), along with your child’s name and age, and we’ll add your creation to our story!

Sassy Sea Witch

Red Tricycle’s San Francisco editor Erin Feher is lucky live above a well-known costume designer. When asked to design a costume for Erin’s three-year-old daughter Orion, she was beyond thrilled. Orion is currently in all-things-Little Mermaid mode and Ursula reigns supreme, so a sea witch was sewn up. The little details include the infamous shell necklace and a stole made of Flotsam and Jetsam, snapped together (they are also working hand puppets!).

If you’d like to showcase your DIY kids costume, send a photo with your kids name and age to our National Editor (gabby@tinybeans.go-vip.net) and we’ll publish our favorites.

Let us know in the comment section below what your kids are wearing this year for Halloween!
