The East Bay is home to oodles of families, so it’s no wonder some of the very coolest museums for children are there, too. USS Hornet Museum

History comes alive on the USS Hornet. The aircraft carrier is docked at the former Naval Air Station Alameda (now Alameda Point.) This is a huge ship, with lots to see. Volunteers, many of the veterans, are one board to answer your questions.
