Soup’s On: 7 Super Spots for Soup This Fall

Football season is here (go Hawks!), the chill of autumn is in the air and those chunky sweaters and Hunter boots have once again taken center stage in our closets—fall is in full swing in Seattle. And what better way to experience autumn, than with a hearty bowl of soup. Click through the gallery and get ready to satisfy your soup cravings at one of our favorite belly-warming spots.

Arashi Ramen

Seeking out ramen no longer means having to tear into a plastic wrapped, dried noodle square and sprinkling on a flavor packet. Luckily, authentic ramen can be found in many Seattle neighborhoods; and each noodle filled bowl will leave you feeling fully satisfied. For a ravenous ramen experience, try Arashi Ramen in Tukwila, located a few blocks away from Westfield Southcenter. The intimate restaurant can be busy during the lunchtime rush, but is more than worth a short wait.

Bonus: Arashi Ramen takes pride in the craft of simmering ramen ingredients for over 16 hours and the resulting flavors shine through in each spoonful.
With choices from a staple Shio Tonkotsu, a salt based broth with thin noodles, to the richly flavored sesame paste based Tantan Men, complete with seasoned ground pork and thicker noodles, you will want to try them all. In fact, halfway through your generously portioned bowl, you will likely be planning what to order on your next visit.

Good to Know: The children’s menu doubles as a folding tutorial to make an origami crane. Your mini-noodle connoisseurs will receive colorful paper squares that will keep their little hands busy until the food arrives.
