Skip to the Loo: Seattle’s 8 Most Family-Friendly Restrooms

Any parent will tell you that Freud was definitely onto something. Because there comes a time when it’s all about the potty for the Littles. Which kind of makes it all about the potty for you, too. And finding those family-friendly bathrooms when you’re out and about is nothing short of challenging. So we’ve snapped some pics of family-friendly potties that will put a smile on your face, and have your wee ones rushing to well, wee. From the lavish lounge for nursing moms to the family bathroom that could fit the entire Brady Bunch, we’ve got your back(side) covered! Click away!

Mater-rific!

The cozy bathroom vibe at Miyabi Sushi in Tukwila (just south of Southcenter Mall) is hard to resist. Its eclectic décor and encouraging needlepoint “Rules to Live by” put any potty-goer at ease. But it’s the Japanese-style toilet that’ll have the kidlets coming back for more and more and more. Think Mater in Cars 2 and you’ve got this one pegged. Users can choose water, air and even a heated seat (complete with temperature adjustment) for their bare bottoms. And the cuddly stuffed octopus on the changing table? Well, let’s just say he’s an added bonus for those still in diapers. Come for the potty, stay for the sushi at this one!
