“Sesame Street” Is Bringing Sunny Days to Your Own Neighborhood on Its National Tour

The residents of Sesame Street are packing up for an adventure that will bring your tot’s favorite muppet friends directly to you. The Sesame Street national tour is heading across the country to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the beloved series.

Big Bird, Elmo, Abby and the entire Sesame Street gang are taking a road trip. Setting out Jun. 1 in New York City, the special anniversary family festival will tour the country all summer long, stopping in ten major cities including Washington D.C., Chicago, Illinois, Dallas, Texas and Seattle, Washington. The last stop on the road trekking adventure is Los Angeles, California.

The festival includes a live performance starring all the Sesame Street characters, as well as activities and community events timed around the stage show, like photo opps, treasure digs, mazes and more. Best of all the festival is free to attend.

For more info. on dates check out the website here. You can register for the free event in advance via Eventbrite, but no tickets are necessary to attend. Families will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
