Go Play! 7 of East County’s Best Parks

There’s nothing quite like the rush of cool wind through the hair and warmth of the sun on your face. Pretty soon, your kiddo reaches higher and higher toward the sky and they feel like you’re flying! If your kiddo wants nothing more than an afternoon playing on the swings at the park, then take them outside for some fresh air and fun. We’ve rounded up East County’s best parks for a playdate, birthday party or a scooter ride. Click through the slideshow to see where your next playdate awaits!

Santee Lakes

This park has it all!  Try a new family outing this year here: fish, camp, rent a paddleboat or surrey bike. If it’s a hot day, kids will love splashing around the spray grounds which are clean and well-maintained year round. There is a handicapped accessible playground in the middle of the park that can accommodate wheelchairs on its ramps. In fact, the park has five lakes and seven playgrounds, more than enough choice for every member of the family.
