Eight Fur-tastic Places to Adopt a Family Pet

If your little one has been begging (and barking) for a pet, it might be time to consider welcoming a new furry friend into your family. Pets can not only teach your kiddo responsibility, they can also help build family bonds. With so many furry friends who need a home, consider the motto, “Adopt, Don’t Shop” as you begin the search for your family’s new best friend. Here are eight San Diego pet adoption centers filled with pets waiting for a family to call their own.

San Diego County Animal Services

The County of San Diego also operates three animal shelters, located in San Diego, Bonita, and Carlsbad. Dogs, cats, rabbits, small animals, reptiles, horses, chickens, and even pigs all available for adoption for very reasonable prices. Check out available animals on their website and if you find a pet (or two or three!) that you’d like to meet, just print out their info and bring it with you when you visit the shelter to get the ball rolling.
