12 Local Artisan Gifts Perfect for Teacher Appreciation Week

We all know teachers do so much more than teach our kids how to read and write. They also help our kiddos grow and make sure they’re safe when we’re not around. Teacher Appreciation Week is happening May 4 – 8, 2015. Say thank you to your teacher by giving them a gift with a local twist. From jewelry to jam, and classic to quirky, we found artisan-quality, locally-made gifts (all under $15) that will show our teachers how much we appreciate them. Click through the slideshow to see what we found.

JunkIn2Funk

Got a fun-loving quirky teacher? These sweet hand-painted vases made from re-purposed paint tubes and grapefruit rind cost about $10 and will brighten any teacher's corner. Robin will work with you directly to get you the perfect pick from her selection of fun. She can be found at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market on Sundays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
