Why shop every grocery aisle when you could just go to a Whole Foods convenience store? The Amazon-owned grocery chain recently rolled out a small-format grab-and-go version of its full-scale shopping experience.
Whole Foods Market Daily Shop isn’t your regular grocery retailer. The shop, adjacent to a full-sized Whole Foods Market, operates from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily and features everything from a build-your-own acai bowl station to a coffee bar, snacks, sandwiches, soups, salads, drinks, seasonal kombuchas and so much more.
Along with dressed-up convenience store staples (such as grab-and-go picks), Whole Foods Market Daily Shop also sells dairy essentials, grocery must-haves, flowers, cut fruit, Whole Body best sellers and local and baked in house goodies. As of now, you can only visit the oh-so-convenient convenience store at one location, in Chelsea, New York City.
If you’re a New Yorker, or are visiting the Chelsea area, this store is so worth checking out—especially if you’re into eating local. According to a Whole Foods spokesperson, as told to CSP Daily News, “With a local focus, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop opens carrying Gotham Greens, Balthazar breads, new York Bagel, Dunwell Doughnuts, Dough Doughnuts, By the Way Bakery cakes, Lilly’s cookies and more.”
No word yet if more of Whole Foods convenience stores are in the works, but we sure hope so!
