19 Inclusive Playgrounds for All Kinds of Kids

Swing, slide, spin, and smile—every kid has the same goal when heading to the playground. But, not all kids have the physical abilities needed to master traditional playground equipment. The good news? Many communities are taking everyone’s consideration when designing new play structures—allowing those with special needs to play alongside their peers. We rounded up our favorite from coast to coast, flip through to find one near you!

Tatum’s Garden – Salinas, Ca

This 20,000 square-foot playground is a well-maintained park covered in cushioned rubber and offers safe equipment for kids of all sizes, abilities and interests. Tatum’s Garden has local artwork, a sensory garden, a giant “broccoli” tree house, adaptive swings and more to fill a kid’s day with pure fun - all thanks to the special volunteers and the awesome design team at Leathers & Associates.
