19 Inclusive Playgrounds for All Kinds of Kids

Swing, slide, spin, and smile—every kid has the same goal when heading to the playground. But, not all kids have the physical abilities needed to master traditional playground equipment. The good news? Many communities are taking everyone’s consideration when designing new play structures—allowing those with special needs to play alongside their peers. We rounded up our favorite from coast to coast, flip through to find one near you!

Watkins Regional Park – Upper Marlboro, Md

Follow the yellow brick road to this amazing Wizard of Oz-themed playground. Two ruby slippers turned into slides welcome kids into a magical journey from the moment they arrive. The playground offers areas for spinning, climbing, balance and even learning. See if you can find the the words "wizard" and "oz" in the giant word find. The playground is meant to encourage physical play as well as intellectual stimulation. Read our full review here.
