19 Inclusive Playgrounds for All Kinds of Kids

Swing, slide, spin, and smile—every kid has the same goal when heading to the playground. But, not all kids have the physical abilities needed to master traditional playground equipment. The good news? Many communities are taking everyone’s consideration when designing new play structures—allowing those with special needs to play alongside their peers. We rounded up our favorite from coast to coast, flip through to find one near you!

Daniel’s Den Playground – Lancaster, Pa

Using environmentally conscious materials, the community of Lancaster, Pa (with the help of dream builders Leathers & Associates) built an amazing playground where every kid can get his and her play on. The ground is made of rubber so wheelchair and crutch users can glide smoothly to sandbox, slide or whatever type of play they choose. Plus, the equipment is custom designed to inspire creative play and help kids develop cognitive skills.
