19 Inclusive Playgrounds for All Kinds of Kids

Swing, slide, spin, and smile—every kid has the same goal when heading to the playground. But, not all kids have the physical abilities needed to master traditional playground equipment. The good news? Many communities are taking everyone’s consideration when designing new play structures—allowing those with special needs to play alongside their peers. We rounded up our favorite from coast to coast, flip through to find one near you!

Zachary’s Playground – Lake St. Louis, Mo

This playground with a castle theme is designed with extensive ramps so that kids can explore the many levels of this play kingdom. Traditional, toddler and ADA-accessible swings are available for all the lords and ladies as well as a glider that allows children in wheelchairs to roll on and enjoy the back and forth swaying motion. Perform at the music station or on the entertainment stage. If you visit in the summer months, the fully-accessible spray park will keep you cool.
