8 Ways to Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend

Let’s remember the people that do our country proud … and have fun, while we’re at it! Whether you’re looking for something patriotic, artistic or downright bouncy to do this Memorial Day weekend, you’ll find it. Get ready for a parade, outdoor festivals, a campfire cookout and more. Click through our album for the scoop on our nine favorite events.

Do Silly Races: Bellaboo’s Play & Discovery Center

This northwest Indiana spot is worth the quick, half-hour drive. With activities every hour on Memorial Day, you won’t want to miss one minute. Expect silly races, storytelling and a new kid-friendly twist on a snack: es-CAR-go! On any given day, Bellaboo’s is an amazing place to play (we love its ball pit, cooking area and giant LEGOs).

Held on May 26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (open every Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. & Sun. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.) Admission is $5.95-$9.95/children 1-9 years old and $3.95-$4.95/adults; children under 1 are free. 28th Ave. and Colorado St. in Lake Station, In (219-963-2070 or mybellaboos.com)
