Sundance Mountain Resort in Sundance, Utah

You may think of the film festival when you hear this town’s name but the Sundance Mountain Resort is one of the most highly-ranked resorts in all of Utah and certainly one of the best in the U.S. Not just for skiing, warmer weather months offer plenty to do. Family accommodations, including whole-home rentals, plus miles of trails, means you can go cowboy and still sleep in a comfy bed at night. Check out the Art Shack, that offers kiddos (and parents) the chance to do arts and crafts including pottery and jewelry making. There's a Nature Day Camp for kids as well as one for teens. Even the spa has services for kids. And of course there’s a screening room to watch movies (and yes, they are often Robert Redford flicks). For activities, you can go horseback riding, ziplining and more. Okay, so maybe old-timey cowboys probably didn’t zipline but hey, modern times, modern cowboys.
