When she was pregnant with her son, Latham Thomas (a doula herself) noticed there was a huge gap between the client and the practitioners. Always the entrepreneur, she saw a need to celebrate the experience of pregnancy and motherhood, and now her maternity lifestyle company, MamaGlow.com (celebrating five years in 2016!), offers wellness services for fertility, pregnancy and beyond. At the helm of a well respected company and brand, she is blessed to work with talented people who believe in her vision. Latham was recently included in Oprah’s inaugural list for the Super Soul 100, a curated list of enlightened individuals who are elevating humanity through their work.
For Latham, the work/life balance is more of a juggling act. She says “it’s not about balance, but about dynamic equilibrium, keeping the balls in the air and catching them when they come down. Life is constantly in flux. I don’t try to wear down my edges and fit into a depiction of what a balanced life looks like- I focus on creating a life well lived for myself and everyone around me.” She lives with her son Fulano, a 13-year-old DJ (check him out here) who loves to cook and travel, in Chelsea, NYC.
