Do your imaginative tots love to create their own creatures and characters? Now they can submit their designs to IKEA’s Soft Toy design contest.
For the second year IKEA Family is inviting kids ages 12 and under to submit their drawings for the contest. Six lucky winners will be selected by the home furnishing giant to have their designs turned into actual soft toys which will be sold in IKEA stores worldwide starting in the fall of 2020.
Last year’s collection, SAGOSKATT, will debut in stores this November. The sales from the limited collection will be donated entirely to the IKEA Let’s play! campaign, which supports children’s rights to play.
Kids ages 12 and under can submit their drawings online starting now through Nov. 1, 2019, 11:59 p.m. EST. Submissions can also be made by mail or dropped off in stores at Småland. Winners will be chosen through online voting which opens Nov. 14.
The top 15 winners chosen from the online vote will be combined with winners from IKEA countries around the world. From these worldwide entries, six will be turned into a real soft toy and sold in IKEA stores as part of a limited edition Soft Toy collection next year. Three age group semifinalists from each US IKEA store will receive a $25 IKEA gift card and all kids who submit a drawing will earn a certificate of participation.
You can check out the full rules of entry and submit your kid’ designs online here.
