Jay-Z is part of a sweet business deal! The recently named billionaire is much more than a rapper (or Beyonce’s husband), he’s also an investor. And one of his ventures is a mom-based cookie company called Partake Foods.
When Denise Woodard’s daughter was diagnosed with food allergies the mama did something about it. Instead of scouring the grocery store aisles for sweet treats her kiddo could eat, she created her own company.
Partake Foods, Woodard’s company, bakes allergen-free cookies. The entrepreneur/mama left her job as director of national sales at Coca-Cola to sell her creative cookies out of her car. Of course, Woodard’s story doesn’t end there. After a successful Kickstarter campaign the company gained national attention, putting Woodard’s treats in the hands of the children across the country,.
Even though Woodard’s cookie venture has had plenty of success, we’re pretty sure that with Jay-Z’s help the popularity of these allergen-free sweets will only increase!
