Jennifer Garner & Glennon Doyle Go Peak Soccer Mom in Adorable Video

If you’ve not yet heard of the Angel City Football Club (ACFC), it’s a National Women’s Soccer League expansion team started in 2022, the first female majority-owned women’s soccer team. Two of those committed to the team, both in money and fruit, are beloved actor Jennifer Garner and author Glennon Doyle, who are official “Soccer Moms” of the ACFC.

The team—co-founded by actor Natalie Portman, tech venture capitalist Kara Nortman, gaming entrepreneur Julie Uhrman, and entrepreneur (and husband of Serena Williams) Alexis Ohanian—played their first game in April 2022. While they are kicking butt on the field, off the field they now have Garner and Doyle to help with hair, cleats, hydration, and all things caretaking.

The pair posted the hilarious videos to their social accounts, showing them cutting fruit like the moms they are, hoping with any last minute uniform needs, and just generally keeping spirits up both pre-and-post game.

“@glennondoyle and I are proud to serve as The Soccer Moms for the warrior players of @weareangelcity FC,” Garner captioned the video on Instagram. “We know next to nothing about the soccer, but we know how to tie shoelaces and bows, to cheer for and love—luckily there is room for all of us— come to a game and find out!”

“My sister Jen and I serve to honor all The Soccer Parents in the land!!! May you be rested. May you be hydrated. May you be well,” Doyle commented. Doyle, who is married to soccer star Abby Wambach, has famously shunned all sports, happily relegating herself to cheerleader on the sidelines for both their kids and her wife.

Angel City’s official Instagram account also posted a video compilation of The Soccer Moms, letting interested parties know just what it takes to make it as a sideline helper. These tasks include (but aren’t limited to) preparing snacks, creating high ponies, being equal parts encouraging and embarrassing, and handing out snacks.

Garner and Doyle join the ranks of Uzo Aduba, Serena Williams, Sophia Bush, Jessica Chastain, America Ferrera, Shawn Johnson, Eva Longoria, Lilly Singh, Gabrielle Union, Christina Aguilera, Lindsey Vonn, Billie Jean King and Abby Wambach who have invested in the club. While that sort of backing is next-level, the Soccer Moms clearly play an integral part of the team’s overall happiness.

Who can put a price tag on that?
