These Pink Magnum Bars Are Made with a New Kind of Chocolate

If you’re a fan of all things chocolate and pink, then you’ll be excited to hear that Magnum is releasing a new ice cream bar that’s made with a new kind of pink chocolate.

Magnum Mini Ruby bars are made with chocolate derived from the Ruby cacao bean. Ruby chocolate, which was first developed by Swiss confectioner Barry Callebaut in 2017, has a pleasant pink hue and is said to have a flavor that is neither too bitter nor too sweet but is more berry-like. No berries or berry flavoring is added to create the chocolate, however.

These new ice cream bars are the first ice cream product sold in the United States to feature this unique new chocolate, though there have already been other products available, like bars, truffles and even Trader Joe’s Ruby Cacao Wafers. The ice cream inside the bar is a sweet cream flavor and promises to be delicious.

The new Magnum Ruby Minis are currently available at select retailers and will roll out to stores nationwide in February.
