‘Hi, Baby!’: Mom Interrupts TV Reporter Son at Work

Myles Harris was just minding his own business, preparing to film a segment when he got a sweet surprise. The reporter, who had an assignment for ABC Affiliate WSYX, was in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio when he kept getting calls from his mom. Before he knew it, Sandi was there to greet him in person.

In an Instagram post that has been viewed over a million times already, you can see Harris stop mid-sentence as his spies his mom roll up in a car behind him. The rest? Parent goals.

As if Harris’ look of frustration isn’t enough, Sandi pulls up unapologetically yelling “Hi, baby!” Behind the camera you can hear co-worker DeAngelo Byrd cackling, or more than likely, thanking his lucky stars that it’s not his mom who just appeared.

DeAngelo, we thank YOU for never letting the camera stop rolling so we could witness this hilarious moment for ourselves.

Using his reporter voice, Harris appeases his mom saying “I’m trying to work right now and you’re over here calling my phone…And don’t be holding up traffic because you got cars behind you.”

“Alright,” acquiesces mom, and then promptly blows him a kiss. Apparently, this is not unusual for Harris and his mom, who captioned the video on IG as “Typical Sandi.”

Sandi, we applaud you.
