E.B. Min, Architect and Partner in Min|Day

E.B. Min is a partner in an architecture and design practice based in SF and Omaha and designs everything from residences and commercial offices to theaters and architectural installations to landscapes and custom furniture. The firm, which she co-founded in 2003, has garnered numerous awards including the 2007 AIA California Emerging Talent award, New Practices San Francisco 2009, California Home & Design’s 2009 Ten to Watch, Residential Architect’s 2010 Rising Star, Architectural Record Magazine’s 2009 Design Vanguard, and the Architectural League of New York’s 2016 Emerging Voices. She is a respected and sought-after speaker on the topics of both architecture as a practice, as well as the under representation of women in the field. She is mom to 8-year-old Charlotte with her husband, Jeff Fassnacht. They live in the Mission District of San Francisco.

Proud Moment: "I am so proud of my daughter and of having a family. Growing up I had never wanted to get married and having a child was not something I had really imagined, so it all came as a shock when both events happened!"

Words of Wisdom: "Work is a pretty large part of my life and I try to think of it less as achieving balance but more as maintaining a separation between office life and home life. I try to prioritize my goals at work, have become much faster at making decisions, and accept not everything is going to be perfect (my desk at work can attest to that)."
