A Princess Performer Gets Real About Creepy Adults at Kids’ Birthday Parties

A princess performer is going viral on TikTok for exposing the creepy adults who don’t understand boundaries while she’s working

For many little girls, being a literal princess is a dream job. Sadly, once we grow up, we realize that even a dream job has its fair share of nightmares. Case in point: a princess performer is going viral on TikTok for her video exposing the creepy parents and relatives she has to deal with at kids’ parties and just—this is why we can’t have nice things.

TikTok creator @crazieegracie works as a princess-for-hire, and in her video, she’s dressed up like a flawless Jasmine from Aladdin. Then she juxtaposes that adorableness with an absolutely ick-inducing story of a grandpa at a party who trampled all over her boundaries—right in front of his wife and granddaughter.

“At nearly every party, there’s some adult that does not understand boundaries,” she explains. “My last party as Wonder Woman, the way that it was handled was incredible.”

Before beginning the story, she notes that “this happens every Wonder Woman party, without fail.” Ugh.

@crazieegracie explains that at the party, a man came up to her to ask for a photo of her.

“Just me. No children. Just me,” she says. “Why would he need that? Yep. Why would he need that.” UGH.

But before the picture was taken, she says, his wife intervened.

“His wife says, ‘Harold, do you want to include your granddaughter in the picture with Wonder Woman?'”

@crazieegracie says after the photo with the man’s granddaughter, he had the sheer audacity to ask her for her phone number, saying he would text her a copy of the photo. Once again, this man’s poor wife had to step in.

“His wife goes, ‘She has plenty,’ and dragged him away,” she says.

Honestly, kudos to this man’s wife, but we have to wonder what she’s still doing with this creep when her actions made it clear his behavior is nothing new.

In other videos, @crazieegracie shared other occupational hazards she encounters as a princess—and clarified that the creepy parents aren’t even always men.

“I had a Princess Ariel party, and it was a drunk aunt,” she explains. “It wasn’t one of the dads. It wasn’t one of the men there. As much as I would like to pinpoint and be like, ‘I hate men,’ because I do hate men, don’t get me wrong, it’s not even that.”

She later adds, “Some adults, I think, get lost and they think of me or other performers as less of a human being and more of a prop and that’s just not really cool.”

No kidding. Adults, do better.
